This Privacy Policy applies to the Barca Nepal mobile application and related services (the "Application"), operated by Penya Barca de Everest Association ("Service Provider", "we", "us", or "our").

This policy is intended to support App Store and Google Play disclosure requirements. It explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of data:

  • Account and identity data: name, email, authentication identifiers, profile image.
  • Profile and membership data: date of birth, phone number, membership application details, membership status, renewal information, and related records.
  • Content you provide: photos/documents you upload (for example, profile or membership-related uploads).
  • Device and technical data: device model, OS version, app version, unique app/device identifiers, IP address, crash logs, and diagnostic information.
  • Usage data: interactions with app screens and features, timestamps, and session information.
  • Support data: any information you share when contacting us.

We do not collect precise GPS location data unless explicitly stated in a future update.

2. Permissions and Local Storage

Depending on the features you use, the Application may request:

  • Photo/media library access to upload images/documents.
  • Secure device storage access to store authentication/session tokens.
  • Biometric authentication access (if enabled by you) to protect account login on your device.

You can manage permissions through your device settings. If permissions are disabled, some features may not function.

3. How We Use Data

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage user accounts;
  • authenticate users and secure access;
  • process membership applications, renewals, and related services;
  • operate, maintain, and improve the Application;
  • troubleshoot technical issues and improve reliability;
  • communicate important notices, service updates, and support responses;

The Application uses third-party services that process data under their own privacy terms:

App distribution and in-app billing (if used) may also involve Apple App Store and Google Play processing under their own policies.

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is fully secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

The Application is not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate legal basis/consent.
